I am a cancer survivor!

   WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO

CANCER IS SO LIMITED...

IT CANNOT CRIPPLE LOVE,

IT CANNOT SHATTER HOPE,

IT CANNOT CORRODE FAITH

IT CANNOT DESTROY  PEACE,

IT CANNOT KILL FRIENDSHIP,

IT CANNOT SUPPRESS MEMORIES,

IT CANNOT SILENCE COURAGE,

IT CANNOT INVADE THE SOUL,

IT CANNOT STEAL ETERNAL LIFE,

IT CANNOT CONQUER THE SPIRIT.

It takes strength to be certain, It takes courage to have doubts. It takes strength to fit in, It takes courage to stand out. It takes strength to share a friend's pain, It takes courage to feel your own pain. It takes strength to hide your own pain, It takes courage to show it and deal with it. It takes strength to stand guard, It takes courage to let down your guard. It takes strength to conquer, It takes courage to surrender. It takes strength to endure abuses, It takes courage to stop them. It takes strength to stand alone, It takes courage to lean on a friend. It takes strength to love, It takes courage to be loved. It takes strength to survive, It takes courage to live. >
Parent Abuse.... a silent Abuse....

Parent Abuse is 'any act of a child that is
intended to cause physical, psycological &
financial damage to gain power & control."

Verbal & Emotional Abuse of adult children
towards their parents is often ignored or
dismissed.. Words can hurt & leave scars..
The parent often feels ashamed and will not seek help.. In my case I had difficulity
accepting that my son was the abuser.

I lost control of the situation, and he gained power  I didn't have family support and I did
not seek outside help.. I often blamed
myself..
The first step in regaining power... Reaching
out for support..... and finally keeping my
distance from my Son.....
Believe Centered in God, I live a life of excellence. What I believe is reflected in my life every day. I honor God and the gift of life by believing in myself and in the potential that lies within me. I am the healthy, prosperous, and wise person God created me to be. My beliefs guide the choices I make. Knowing I've been given unique talents and skills, I use my gifts in wise and loving ways that serve myself and others. Knowing that I am a child of God, I set high standards for myself so that I live a life of excellence--mentally, physically, and spiritually. Centered in God, I have purpose in being a unique expression of divine life in the world. I believe in myself and in the power and presence of God moving in and through me. With God, I am all that I am meant to be. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."--Romans 15:13
